1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of our services. By accessing our website and using our services, you agree to comply with these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Definitions

  • Device: Refers to any mobile phone, tablet, or electronic gadget sold to us.
  • Seller: Refers to the individual or entity selling the Device.
  • We/Us/Our: Refers to [Easy Mobile Tech].

3. Device Eligibility

By agreeing to sell us your device, you confirm that the device(s) comply with these terms.

  • The seller is at least 18 years old or obtained parents or guardians consent to sell the device for the amount indicated during the sales process.
  • Seller owns the device, must be contract free (including airtime) and have the right to sell it.
  • The device must not be reported lost or stolen.
  • Devices must be free of any iCloud account locks, Activation Locks, PIN or Passwords, please make sure these are removed.
  • iCloud accounts removed and device reset to original factory settings.
  • The device should not be bent, water damaged or have missing components or parts.
  • The device must be original and not a fake or a replica version of an Apple product.
  • Sim cards or eSims must be removed from the device. Any sim cards left in the device will not be returned, immediately destroyed and disposed of appropriately.

4. Device Condition & Grading

Devices are categorised as follows.

  • Excellent: Device powers on, charges correctly, is fully functional with all buttons speakers, cameras including FaceID, microphones and ports undamaged and working. Cosmetically the device will show very minor wear or tear and screen must be perfect. Battery health must be above 85% for iPhones, 80% for iPads and better than the average cycle count for that particular MacBook model and year. The device must not have any personalisations, repairs or replacement parts except where a device shows “Genuine Apple Parts Used” and the repair or part was carried out by Apple only.
  • Good: Device powers on, charges correctly, is fully functional with all buttons speakers, cameras including FaceID, microphones and ports undamaged and working. Cosmetically the device will show moderate signs of wear and tear with only minimal surface scratches on the screen (not felt with your fingernail). Battery health must be above 80% for iPhones, 80% for iPads and better than the average cycle count for that particular MacBook model and year. The device must not have any personalisations, repairs or replacement parts, except where a device shows “Genuine Apple Parts Used” and the repair or part was carried out by Apple only.
  • Average: Device powers on, charges correctly, is fully functional with all buttons speakers, cameras including FaceID, microphones and ports undamaged and working. Cosmetically the device will show significant wear and tear with deeper scratches on the screen that can be felt with your fingernail. Personalisations, non Apple repairs or replacement parts are acceptable. Battery health must be above 80% for iPhones, 60% for iPads and within the normal cycle count range for that particular MacBook model and year.
  • Damaged: Device must turn on and off and may have multiple defects. It should not be water damaged, bent, or missing any components.

We do appreciate that no device is ever the same so our grading does vary from model to model. In cases where there is adhoc damage or the device is in perfect cosmetic condition with a non Apple part for example, there may be an increase or reduction in prices offered. In these cases Easy Mobile Tech will have the final decision on all device prices quoted.

5. Valuation and Offer

  • Our initial offer is based on the condition description provided by the Seller.
  • Upon inspection, if the Device condition differs from the description, we reserve the right to adjust the offer accordingly.

6. Data Removal

  • It is the Seller’s responsibility to remove all personal data from the Device before we collect the device from your home. Please follow your device manufacturer guidelines on how to safely and securely remove data.
  • We accept no liability for any data that remains on the Device and by selling us your device you agree to release us from all any any losses, claims or damages with respect to the data enclosed or stored on the device.

7. Payment for Selling a Device to Us

  • Payment can be made via bank transfer or in cash and the transaction will be carried out with the Seller at the Seller’s address.
  • Payment via bank transfer is typically instant and you will see the money in your account immediately, however we can not be held responsible for any delays via this method.
  • If the money has been sent by us via bank transfer to the Seller and the Seller confirms they have not received payment after a short period of time, we will provide the Seller with an email confirmation of the bank transaction that took place and follow up with the Seller and all relevant 3rd parties until a successfull resolution. In this scenario, Easy Mobile Tech reserve the right to keep hold of the purchased device from the Seller until the money is cleared, alternatively the Seller can accept to pay us an additional delivery fee of £15 to arrange another doorstep collection at a later time.

8. Warranties and Liabilities

  • By completing the sale, the Seller agrees that the Device is not stolen, fake, or counterfeit.
  • The Seller should provide the IMEI or Serial Number of the device upfront during the sales process, if the Seller is unable to provide this information, we may cancel the order with immediate effect.
  • Devices are checked against the National CheckMEND database using the unique IMEI or Serial Number of the device.
  • If you have received payment from us for your Device and we subsequently become aware of an issue relating to ownership of the device, for example, phone is suddenly blacklisted, you agree to reimburse us in full, within 5 business days following a written request sent to you via recorded delivery pending investigation into the matter. In this scenario you will be required to co-operate with applicable authorities, owners or law enforcement until the issue of ownership is resolved.
  • We are not liable for any loss of data or damage caused during postage.

9. Complaints and Disputes

  • Any complaints should be directed to our customer service team. We will acknowledge complaints within three working days and work with you to resolve.

10. Amendments

  • We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services indicates acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

  • All devices are bought in the UK and sold to Sellers in the UK only, so these terms are governed by applicable laws of United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in the jurisdiction of United Kingdom and nothing in these terms shall effect your legal rights.

12. Privacy Policy

  • Easy Mobile Tech takes data protection seriously and we will ensure that your data is handled and processed securely. If you would like to know what data we hold on you and how we handle your data, please go to our privacy policy.
